He warned me not to do anything to frighten the deer and "get her flight reflex going". When he said that I pictured a full grown deer bouncing off the walls like a marble in a pinball machine! I photographed the deer with two strobe heads positioned as if they were car headlights. A friend of mine has a long winding drive way through the woods in Marin County. I waited until dusk, then photographed the drive with the headlights of my truck illuminating the asphalt.

During the compositing of the image I tinted the background more blue and added a bit of blur to the deer to simulate the effect of camera movement during a "grab shot" or "snap shot". This concept stock photo can be used to illustrate the ideas of fear, paralysis, and the inability to make business decisions. I have also seen the image used to advertise the ability of a Mercedez Benz to drive with extreme safety.
