Strong Woman's Back. This photo is not just a beautiful fine art image but is also symbolic of a strong, competent and healthy woman. A woman who can compete with anyone, anytime, anywhere. The beauty of the female body is accented in the graceful lines and the power is shown through the defined musculature, and the broad shoulders. The woman's femininity is seen in just a hint of her breast and in her narrow waist. The lighting brings out each detail of her muscular back while the monochromatic color helps heighten the sense of drama, particularly in the sky and clouds. This image can be used not only to illustrate all manner of health and beauty products and services, but also to portray such concepts as power and strength, particularly in conjunction with the sensitivity and sensuality of feminine energy. To create this photograph the model, Stephanie Roeser (an avid indoor rock climber and fitness enthusiast), was photographed in a studio setting. The sky was drawn from my archives and I used Photoshop to composite the image and alter the tone from color to monochromatic. With Stephanie I did not have to enhance her body, she naturally has tremendous muscle tone and strength. When I think of a strong woman, I think of Stephanie.
