Chakras: A woman exhibits glowing chakras, the spiritual energy points where the meridians conduct the kundalini flow.

Perhaps the first ever actual photograph of energy chakras as they glow on an Asian woman's body exhibiting the flow of spiritual energy as her Kundalini rises from her root Chakra on up to her Crown Chakra. She is in a standing meditation pose as she exercises her self healing skills using holistic alternative medicine.

This image can be used to help promote and advertise Spas, resorts and facilities that offer beauty and health treatments and programs, particularly ones offering holistic medicine.


Using Photoshop to help create Spa pictures and images to promote health and beauty

To create this health and beauty picture I began by photographing an Asian model. I then turned to Photoshop to create a clipping path around her body which I turned into a selection. I was then able to paste her into the sky image. The sky photo was shot out the window of a commercial jet over Japan. Once I had the composite image of the woman in the sky, I turned to the lens flare filter. I created various layers of the image and then one-at-a-time added the lens flare. I then used layer masks to paste the flare in and out where appropriate to create the effect of glowing chakras.



The need for health and beauty photos.

The health and beauty industry is growing by leaps and bounds creating a huge demand for photos that can portray the benefits and relaxation offered by such services. These spa, health and beauty photos need to be generic enough to work in a wide variety of applications, but powerful enough to effectively grab a viewer's attention
