This photograph illustrating social media and networking was created by first shooting the hands of seven different models in various combinations, then using Photoshop to image the final composite together. It took me almost two days of work to complete this stock photo.

How To Illustrate The Concept Of Social Media In A New An Interesting Way

To create a new and interesting graphic to show social media and networking I tried to first visualize the essence of what social networking is. It is reaching out to others. It is forming long multi-directional lines of communications. As I tried to create a vision in my mind about those ideas this image of endless hands took shape. Once I had the idea it was then just a matter of hiring models and resigning myself to a lot of Photoshop hours!

A versatile image of Social Media And Networking

This image has a great deal of flexibility. It can equally well demonstrate social media or networking, or social networking. The image was carefully constructed so that it can be cropped either as a vertical for magazine covers or horizontally for a double spread. It is graphic and a quick read, despite it's complex nature, and is easy to decipher as a thumbnail making it excellent for internet use.
