Lions are closely linked to leadership with qualities of courage, ferocity, strength and power. In this photograph a corporate executive leans forward on a board room table with a strong and powerful gaze as his facial features transform into those of a lion. His hair is becoming a Lion''s mane and his mouth and nose are becoming a lion''s muzzle. There is no question of this man''s resolve and authority. His confidence is almost palpable. The room he is standing in indicates the highest levels of the corporate business world. He stands in front of tall panes of glass that reach up beyond the frame of the picture with the skyline of a large city behind. Lions have long been used as business symbols to portray those at the top of the pecking order. Lions are fabled for their courage, determination and strength, all qualities we wish to see in our business leaders. This business concept stock photo was created by Stephanie D. Roeser. The various elements that have gone into the composite final include the model photographed in my studio, the skyline shot in San Francisco, the room and desk from a shoot in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a lion also photographed in my studio. Stephanie used Photoshop to composite the image together.

Transforming a man to a Lion creates an image that celebrates the best qualities of both mankind and nature. In the man aspect we have qualities of reason, logic and achievement in the human realm. The lion contributes the power of nature, the ferocity of the beast, and the noble nature of the untamed wild. This lion to man image is sure to grab a viewer''s attention compelling them to read the copy, which is, after all, the function of a successful stock photo. This can be an image of adversity in the work place as indicated by a powerful and unyielding boss, or a tribute to a corporate president who can brink a corporation from the edge of the abyss to profitability by sheer will alone. The man''s stance indicates a possible challenge as well as factors such as intimidation and the instillation of fear.
