Roeser created this anthropomorphic elephant as he races by on a fast motorcycle on a warm summer day. The background is blurred from panning with the pachyderm. But hey, at least the big guy is wearing a helmet complete with visor and chin strap! And his head gear is color co-ordinated with the powerful street bike that he sits astride.

One wouldn''t expect to see an elephant riding a motorcycle, which is exactly what gives this image its impact. Concepts such as unexpected skills, unusual combinations of size and speed, and even the nimble nature of some big businesses, can all be compellingly portrayed with this picture. In addition to speed and motion the photo is rich in color with the orange of the motorcycle, the intense green of the background grass, and the blue sky mottled with summer clouds.

Circus elephants are noted for their many tricks, but how many have you ever seen racing down a street on a bike? This big guy''s ears are stretched back from the wind in his face as he blasts down a residential street, the parked cars behind him turning into streaking blurs as the camera pans with his movement. Her attention to detail goes right down to the individual hairs of the elephants tail and the realistic shadows that give the photo it''s illusion of reality.
