Naturally Beautiful Hair Flowing Around A Hispanic Womans Head

This image is part of a combined still and video shoot. For the video we used a Phantom HD, a High Definition camera shooting 1000 frames per second. The resulting slow motion movement of the model's hair is a mesmerizing visual. By shooting both stills and video of the same model, and at the same time, an advertiser is not limited to one medium. Everything from television, to the Internet, to billboards and magazine print ads are covered. Quality is never sacrificed. Campaigns can be built around these images.

Healthy, Beauty and Spa Images Captured in Super Slow Motion

To be able to shoot video at 1000 frames per second we needed lots of light. We had four 2000 watt tungsten lights mounted in a custom built soft box as our main light. Two additional 2000 watt lights were aimed at the model from behind, and two more 1000 watt lights were aimed at the background. The use of such a large quantity of light not only allowed our high frame rate with the video camera, but also allowed us to use a fast shutter speed with our still camera to freeze the motion of the hair. It is rare to be able to find both stills and video, let alone high speed video, from the same stock shoot.
