Stack of Money Blowing Away In A Super Slow Motion Stock Video

Captivating is one word to describe the action in this super slow motion video that shows a pile of money, one dollar bills, slowly blowing away. One by one the currency lifts up with a shiver and then glides out of the frame, until, at one point, the entire stack simply scurries away. What makes the visual have such impact is that we seldom if every see anything moving in such slow motion. The impact of the video is what makes it a potentially great vehicle for delivering messages, particularly ones around personal finance, banking, investment and monetary issues.

Working With The Phantom HD Camera to Capture Money Blowing Away In Slow Motion

To shoot at 1000 frames a second requires a lot of light, and we used 5 2000 watt tungsten lights mounted in a custom built soft box and positioned very closely to the stack of money. That soft box could easily double as a heater! We had an air compressor which we used to provide the wind to blow the money. We did about five takes after which we got pretty tired of picking money up off of the studio floor. There was money floating all over the place! Several people have asked me why I didn't use $100.00 bills. Well, I had $1,200.00 in one dollar bills...having 100 dollar bills would simply have been too big an investment! The camera itself was relatively easy to use, primarily because of the software and hardware supplied by GVS. GVS systems, develops and manufactures rugged digital video recorders along with media management systems for the aerospace industry, broadcast companies, defense contractors, digital cinema companies, post production facilities, and the sports worlds. We used their GVS9000 2XU 444 VTR which is capable of handling the huge amounts of information captured by the camera (32 gigabytes every 4 seconds) in a simple and efficient way.

Uses For Slow Motion Blowing Dollars

The mesmerizing nature of the video clip makes it perfect for editing into video presentations having to do with finance, investment, banking or other money-related issues. This clip can even stand alone, with a voice over, for promotions and advertisements.

We have a wide collection of still images of money as well, including an ocean of money.
