The interesting thing about this image is that it wasn't staged! The model is actually in her own bedroom, and her bedroom really looked like that! She is my girlfriend's daughter, and when I glanced in her room I just knew I had to shoot it. I just asked her to sit down in the room and we had the shot. Well, OK, I added some strobe lighting too. I just used on Profoto bounced in the corner off and to the right of the camera. Hopefully this is not an example of her future lifestyle choices. Perhaps this is more than just a messy sloppy lifestyle, maybe it is an act of rebellion by a teenager.
