How To Make A Light Bulb Explode And Capture It In Slow Motion

Here I will explain how I made a light bulb explode, though I am sure there are other better ways! I took a clear household light bulb and filed a hole in the side of the screw-in base. I then filled about on sixth of the bulb with lighter fluid. I then screwed the bulb back into the base. We activated the camera then turned on the bulb. The filament inside the bulb glowed, but nothing happened. We did it over and over again, but always the same...just a dimly glowing filament! Then I had my associate, David Fischer, Shoot the bulb with the glowing filament with a pellet gun. It worked! The bulb shattered, flame erupted as the lighter fluid ignited, and then the remnants of the bulb sat there burning for a moment and the burning lighter fluid began to drip out of the shattered bulb leaving a trail of dripping flame. Cool!
