I photographed the image using a 4x5 camera while below decks shooting up through the doorway. I got very seasick! I used the 4x5 to get that very narrow depth of field look. The image was scanned using a drum scanner and then enhanced using Photoshop to tweak the color and add a bit more out-of-focus to certain areas of the image.
