Lost Luggage, Baggage and Suitcases

This lost baggage, a red suitcase abandoned on the airport tarmac, a sample of mishandled luggage, is symbolic of loss, challenge, risk and missed opportunities. The painted lines on the asphalt clearly indicate this vast expanse of empty space is that of an airport, while the red suitcase captures one's eye immediately. Even as a thumbnail this image is a quick read with an obvious message of loss and challenge. There is plenty of room in the photo for copy and headlines and the picture abounds with cropping possibilities.

Baggage Handling As A Conceptual Cliche'

Baggage handling, or perhaps we should say mishandling, has become an apt cliche' for inefficiency, inventory shrinkage, loss and theft. This concept works beyond just the travel industry. As such, this stock photo of a red piece of luggage, half open and abandoned on the airport runway, is a powerful and apt metaphor for the challenges and risks that face not just travelers, but every one in every walk of life, in business, in daily routines and in vacation and travel. In this case the cliche' is taken above the mundane and given life by the dramatic visual that effectively uses the vast expanse of tarmac and the bright red color of the baggage.

Lost Bags, Ruined Vacations, Challenging Business Travel and Stock Photos

A lost bag can quickly ruin a vacation and add extra challenge to business travel. Even if your bag isn't lost the theft of contents can be equally ruinous. Unfortunately there isn't a lot that can be done about such possibilities. A dramatic visual stock photo can, however, be used to communicate and remind travelers and non-travelers alike that precautions should be taken, contingency plans laid, to insure that such a loss becomes more of a minor convenience than a major catastrophe. This stock image can be used effectively by insurance companies, travel planners, business and life coaches and anyone or company who offers a solution, a product or service, that can help people deal with the unexpected and the unpleasant!
