Breaking Glass

Breaking, shattering glass explodes out in dramatic fashion against a black background in this photograph. Shards of sharp glass fragments flying out from the center leaving room for type and insert photos. This breaking glass picture can be cropped as a vertical, a square, or a horizontal image. This is an excellent image for adding drama to announcements, advertisements and promotional materials. The center of the glass explosion is clear allowing for strategic placement of logos, photos or important headlines and text.

Shattering Glass And Breaking Barriers

Breaking glass has many conceptual applications ranging from the unexpected to criminal activity to dramatic change. Breaking barriers also comes to mind as does busting through the glass ceiling and blowing up convention and embracing new ideas. Whatever the message, the image of shattering glass grabs our attentions. There is inherent danger with tumbling shards and fragments of glass, something ingrained in our subconscious minds, a fact that makes us sit up and take notice. Yet who among us hasn''t dropped a glass or broken a window in our childhood carelessness? There is just enough danger in the image to grab our attention, but not so much that we recoil away. Rather the image compels us to read further and find out just what this message is all about.

Busting, Flying Glass And Change

More than anything else this image of busting, flying glass is a reflection or announcement of change in an age when change has reached massive proportions and is the one constant in our daily lives. This photo works well in thumbnail sizes which bodes well for its use on the Internet. Is this a breaking window? Is it a sliding glass door that has imploded? Could it be bullet proof glass that has failed? There is a positive ambiguity in this image that makes it a great visual for adding impact to a wide variety of communications.
