Fireworks Display

This spectacular display of fireworks was photographed over San Francisco Bay on the fourth of July, 2014 from the Fontana West apartment building. There was a layer of fog and I'd guess about a third of the pyrotechnic explosions happened above the fog resulting in some pretty cool glows. The lower fireworks provided plenty of punch and excitement and the raw materials I needed to put this composite image together.

The bombs bursting in air and the red, white and blue colors of the American flag flashing overhead with a thunderous boom cant help but stir feelings patriotism in everyone in the audience.
