Flicking or Shaking Water Off Of Woman's Hands In A Super Slow Motion Video Captured With A Phantom HD At 1000 Frames Per Second

A pair of hands flick the water from the fingers in ultra slow motion in this Phantom HD camera stock video clip. The hands actually belong to the daughter of my partner, Stephanie Roeser. Her daughter, Anabelle, grudgingly agreed to provide the hands for a series of our slow motion video work. She does have beautiful, even graceful hands. I have to admit, she hung in for us for many hours! The videos we got are well worth the effort though. In my photographic career few visuals have captivated me the way our slow motion videos have. Even the most ordinary actions take on a grace and beauty that just isn't seen with the naked eye. Everything from rolling dice to splashing water to the flight of ladybugs and doves are revealed in a new splendor, a visual revelation that is captivating and mesmerizing. These video clips can be edited into presentations, adds and promotions to add impact, viewer interest and excitement.

Capturing Stock Video Clips With High Speed Cameras For Slow Motion Effects

The Phantom HD camera is a high speed camera that can shoot frame rates well over 1000 frames per second, though for our HD capture we stuck with that 1000 frame per second rate. Actually, in a few instances, the rate proved too fast as the resulting action would sometimes take so long we would get impatient! For for the vast majority of our filming the 1000 frame rate did the trick, providing a glimpse into the seldom seen world of time slowed down. We used the GVS9000 2XU 444 VTR system to capture and store our footage. The GVS system allowed us to review the video moments after capture and to convert the files and color correct them on the fly. Final editing was done with Final Cut Pro.
