Shooting funny bowling pictures for concept stock photos

I photographed this scene in Buenos Aires, Argentina during a two week stock photo taking excursion. In the shot I carefully posed all of the models, then later added the flying bowling ball in Photoshop. I lit the scene with two ProFoto 7B power packs and three heads. Using the ProFoto packs simplifies my shooting as with Battery packs I don't have to search for power outlets and have long extension cords cluttering up my locations. I have used those packs on beaches, on streets, in deserts and in mountains. I shot with them in India, Thailand, Mexico, Argentina and a host of other places.

Using Photoshop to Enhance Your Photography

Photoshop is an incredible tool to enhance your photos. It has played a pivotal role in making my stock photos successful and providing me with a rewarding and fun career. When i first sat down and used Photoshop, some 19 years ago, my first thought was how useful it would be for making my stock images. In this relatively simple image all I had to do was strip in the flying bowling ball and tweak the exposure and color. A little bit of cropping and i was done in no time!
