Stand Off; A Bulldog and Cat stand face to face in a fearsome and funny confrontation of stubborn pets.

In another of John Lund's funny Animal Antics images, a bulldog (whose name is Brooklyn) stand face to face with a cat (named Remy) in a contest of wills with neither pet willing to give an inch. Wither their faces only inches apart it is apparent that the bulldog is a little taken aback, surprised that the cat isn't turning tail and running. But our feline friend stands with an equally determined look(and pissed-off look as well), and an air of determined confidence that he will prevail. In the background a scattering of clouds hang over the green hills of Northern California in the springtime.

Funny animal pictures for Art and Commerce

I create these humorous animal photos to earn an income, but also to bring a little more humor into our world. Whether it is an an elephant facing off a donkey in political satire, two funny elephants engaged in a Sumo match, a forgetful bulldog or a cat and dog example of motivation, these images can be used to illustrate concepts, hang on your wall as a fine art print, or enjoy as a greeting card. In short, these images are both art and commerce, and just as much fun for me to create as it is for the people who enjoy them in their various forms. Concepts that this image can illustrate range from Conflict and confrontation to mis-matches, challenge, adversity, perseverance and pet behaviors. The applicability is only limited by the users imagination!

The story behind the funny animal photos.

In creating these funny animal pictures I shoot the photography myself, then utilize Photoshop to composite the images together. In the case of this dog-tabby confrontation, I photographed both the bulldog and the feline in my studio. The background image was shot off the rear deck of my former home in Novato, California. The Photoshop work took me approximately four hours to complete...one of the quicker and less complex of my lol animal antics images.
