Funny Bulldogs and Smirking Cats

This hapless, and now helpless English Bulldog is stuck in a pet door with the added humiliation of an amused and smirking cat looking on. The whole scene takes place in a kitchen. This humorous animal picture was created for John Lund's Animal Antics collection and is available not only as a greeting card, but also imprinted on various products ranging from coffee mugs to mouse pads to T shirts. A great gift for animal lovers, dog lovers and especially bulldog lovers!

English Bulldog Puppies

To create this image we photographed this beautiful English Bulldog puppy in my studio. A friends house served as a location for the kitchen, though I did take the door from one room and put it into the kitchen. The cat was also photographed in my studio. Each animal is actually made up from a number of separate pictures composited together in Photoshop (CS5). I have to say, this bulldog puppy was very well behaved...and like virtually all the dogs I work with, very eager to please!

Cats and Dogs Together

I love creating images of cats and dogs together...and it is generally the cats who seem to have the upper hand! It just seems to me that cats are a better fit for the role of the smart manipulator while the dogs are, like their personalities tend to be in real life, just happy to be there!
