Global Business Decisions

Creating Images of Global Business Decisions

To create this global business decision image I began by photographing the model in my studio. Even before that I had him sign a model release! Later I photographed a corporate board or conference room, again getting a property release. The conference room has the requisite table and chairs and is clean and modern, appropriate for an international business corporation. I used Photoshop to place the man in the room. Next I created a world map selection on a new layer and added 60% white around the continents to give the impression of an etched glass world map. I paid careful attention to the dimensions and model placement to insure a flexible and easy to crop image with ample room for headlines and copy.

This business executive needs to apply creativity to his decision making process and to hold a world view in his decision making process. He is seen gazing towards Asia in this particular scene, but can just as easily be seen as taking in the entire world as he attempts to make a decision. The fact that he is alone in the room accentuates the sense of responsibility that rests on his shoulders.
