When it comes to funny Golden Retriever greeting cards this one is near the top...especially when it comes to holiday imagery. The Golden Retriever pictured has his mouth stretched wide in a silly grin from the five ornaments he is carrying. A Santa's hat is rakishly angled on his head. This image was created for a Marian Heath Christmas card and I suspect it may well end up as a best seller!

Christmas Golden Retriever

Any owner of a Golden Retriever will doubtless enjoy this funny photo that captures the innocent enthusiasm of their breed. Though in real life it wouldn't be a good idea to play fetch with Christmas ornaments! I photographed all of the elements in this image separately in the studio. To create the image in Photoshop required five ornament shots, a shot of the hat, two background photos, and four different captures of the Golden Retriever. It took me about six hours to put the image together once the photography was complete.

This Golden Retriever Xmas image is one of a large and growing collection of funny pet pictures for the "John Lund's Animal Antics" collection. The collection was created for the Portal brand of greeting cards produced and distributed by Marian Heath Greeting Cards. This is one successful Golden Retriever who has achieved an accomplishment with skill and verve that few of his canine brethren could manage.
